First Long weekend of 2009

I cant wait for it ... I don't have anything exciting planned yet ! but I have a weird feeling that this weekend is going to be awesome... I have no idea :) I'll let u know if my sixth sense made any sense lol ... maybe just because its a long weekend after a long time ( cool kada) I'm excited. thinking about the options, I can either go for a long drive or I can go smwhere close by and chill out! depends on the company and mood of the ppl. I hate to make plans...

hmmm.... Anyways whts up with everyone ? other than being cramped up with work and all... My job is kind of limping... no new projects down the line.. so office mei fultu marketing and business development is going on :) so kind of working in the background with my manager... and also looking out if thr is smthing else I could be doing ...!! I'm chill maring here in DC with summer.. I hate the weather transitions... I get a sic feeling whnever it gets hot to cold and vice versa... feel like eeeeeeeeeeeeee . I truly hope it does not go over 80 deg ( :( I know it will be 100 soon) but wish karne mei kya jata hai .... chal tc byeeeeeeeee

Help me choose !!

Pretty much tired of work today !! actually bored :( .. I dont have any work to do here now so my manager has asked me to do some market research and chk will all the nearby county websites, for projects and opportunities in the near future we can bid on .. lol I'm sure nobody understood this... hmm anyways its a tp work but very important for us now as we are not doing that great at this office with billable work ! whatever happens I will not lose my job ( touch wood!) so I'm more relaxed now. And for the rest of the week both my manager and the director are not going to be out of the office so ekdum chill ... I have a meeting in sometime to decide on how I'm going to kill time rest of this week. !! Some days I just hate this job.
BTW I got my car from the body shop today . Some freak had hit it in the parking lot and did not leave a note so I had to get it fixed. The insurance company said $200 bokka :( but surprsigly they did not take any money from me when I went to pick it up today ... hope I dont get any bill in the mail .It got some new parts from Honda! t so abhi full chamak raha hai. I want to have it for myself and give akka's car to lakshmi.

I need to send a good cell phone to India for my dad... and for the better part of today I have been looking for good ones online .... I like my cell phone though (BTW I have blk berry Perl) but I'm liking Nokia N85 its lil $$ but the reviews are really good! and its looks sweet :D ... I am not to tech savvy so I might have missed some points ... suggestions and comments are welcome :)

Why is Mrinali busy ?

This weekend was quite hectic... drove like 500 miles and around 5 states :D... The drive started pretty bad with the awful peak time traffic of 495.... It took me 5 hours to reach Delaware ! crazy !!
Anyways... my sister and Sai came to philly! so I had to drive over and meet her. It was Sai's uncle's 60th b'day party .. which reminds me that next month is my dad's 60th B'day !! cool kada ... I will so much miss being with my family ... well I can plan a surprise visit to home!! donno.. ok now coming back to the party, It was quite cool.. it was in some vineyard.. coz they are like ABCD's ... most of them, so they had an Americanised 60th B'day ! no shastipurthi !! khaneka aur peneka.. bas mast jene ka ... food and booze dominates their celebrations mostly. I ate some good desi food and some Italian (yummy) food ... played some cricket !!
Sai's uncle is pretty successful and intelligent !! he is also very funny and entertaining... unlike the regular 60 year old's I get to meet sometimes .. who always crib how wonderful it is back in India some 40 years back ..and how much they hate being here... uncle is pretty chilled out, and maybe having a family and a successful career makes a difference hmm .. donno... well I don't have anything against the senior citizens ( oops) or say the wiser citizens but most of them try not to enjoy their life as much and always live in a nostalgic past.
As usual it was nice meeting my sister and Sai... ( I said this now! donno wht it means) my sister has yet not become that auntyish as I had expected...lol... we always spend like 1 day with her and that too among so many guests !! I guess it will be a nice idea to go on a vacation with them and chill out for a while... current economy mei koi vacation he nehe le raha hai :D
Since I was so close to Jersey!, I decided to meet one of my friends and then and later my favorite cousin over there ... I had also planned to visit bridgewater temple ( my fav temple in USA) but It was too late by the time I bid adios to my cousin and I had a 4 hour drive back to home... reached home at around midnight ! tired and tired and tired
so things I did not do were
Visiting Bridgewater temple and also I did not go to Devon.. :(
